In June our Topical talk is Art History ‘The Impressionists’ Our speaker, Bernard Allen, will bring us a talk which is both interesting and visually stunning Wednesday 19 June 5 - 6.30 pm click here for further information.
Our September topical talk is 'Can I improve my memory'. The frustration of forgetting is something common to us all whatever age, whether it be names, faces, places or simple tasks. Why can we remember the lyrics to Bohemian Rhapsody but not a simple chip and pin code?
Take a trip down memory lane with me as we look at techniques for remembering, using the examples of numbers, names and book plot lines that are easy to employ in day to day life.
We will look at the brain and explore the relationship between creativity and logic, discover how it is that we learn and establish what type of learner we are and whether the way we were taught at school affected our capacity to learn in later life? Join us on September 10th to explore the inner workings of memory.
All our Topical Talks are FREE but places are limited so please book in advance - email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01428 641931.
